A SOCIEDADE CIVIL NOS ESPAÇOS DE CONTROLE SOCIAL: INSTRUMENTO DE PROMOÇÃO ÀSOBERANIA E SEGURANÇA ALIMENTARE NUTRICIONAL

RESUMO

O objetivo deste artigo é trazer uma análise da sociedade civil como protagonistas no espaço de controle social de Conselhos Municipais de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional e sua importância para a promoção da soberania alimentar. O presente artigo é resultado de um processo de pesquisa e extensão realizado durante o Projeto SISAN Universidades (UFRPE,UFPB e UFRN). Com abordagem quanti-qualitativa, os resultados foram obtidos a partir de respostas de formulário, com perguntas específicas para subsidiar a análise proposta, enviados aos gestores municipais.O controle das políticas de SAN, exercido pela sociedade civil, nos conselhos municipais ainda é incipiente. Para que a sociedade civil possa exercer de forma adequada o controle social e com maior protagonismosocial é necessário compromisso, conhecimento e organização dos agentes sociais.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this article is to bring an analysis of civil society as protagonists in the area of social control of Municipal Councils of Food and Nutritional Security and its importance for the promotion of food sovereignty. This article is the result of a research and extension process carried out during the SISAN Universities Project (UFRPE, UFPB and UFRN). With quantitative-qualitative approach, the results were obtained from form responses, with specific questions to subsidize the proposed analysis, sent to the municipal managers. The control of the SAN policies, exercised by the civil society, in the municipal councils is still incipient. In order for civil society to adequately exercise social control and with greater social prominence, it is necessary to have commitment, knowledge and organization of social agents.
