RESUMO

A agricultura familiar como forma de garantir a segurança alimentar e nutricional consisti o principal foco deste trabalho. Nesta perspectiva, nosso estudo tem como objetivo compreender a importância da agricultura familiar como estratégia para garantia da segurança alimentar e nutricional no Brasil, através de uma revisão de literatura. Para tanto, utilizou-se de meios como a análise bibliográfica para realização do trabalho. A partir disso é notório os benefícios que a agricultura familiar pode trazer, tanto para a produção agrícola do país, quanto em aspectos econômicos e sociais para os trabalhadores rurais e sociedade, além do fortalecimento da cultura local. Desta forma, destaca-se a importância da agricultura familiar, no fornecimento de alimentos saudáveis e seguros em quantidades e qualidade, de forma permanente, fortalecendo as culturas locais e a economia do país.

ABSTRACT

Family farming as a way to guarantee food and nutritional security was the main focus of this work. In this perspective, our study aims to understand the importance of family farming as a strategy to guarantee food and nutritional security in Brazil, through a literature review. For that, we used media such as bibliographic analysis to perform the work. From this, the benefits that family agriculture can bring, both for the agricultural production of the country, as well as economic and social aspects for rural workers and society, as well as the strengthening of the local culture, are well known. In this way, the importance of family farming is emphasized, in the provision of healthy and safe food in quantities and quality, in a permanent way, strengthening the local cultures and the economy of the country.
