RESUMO

O Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE) é uma política intersetorial amparada pela lei nº 11.947/2009 exige que no mínimo 30% dos recursos destinados aos municípios oriundos do FNDE para aquisições da agricultura familiar. Esta pesquisa exploratória de caráter quali-quantitativa analisou o PNAE no município de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim/ES e nos municípios da Região Central Sul no período de 2011 a 2015, afim de investigar se os municípios cumpriam a exigência do percentual mínimo estabelecido por lei. A Prefeitura de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim no PNAE apresentou percentual médio de aquisições da agricultura familiar de 60%. Essas aquisições possibilitam a oferta de mais alimentos in natura aos alunos, viabilizando o acesso a alimentos variados e a inserção de alimentos diversificados na sua alimentação, que muitas vezes não tem acesso em casa.

ABSTRACT

The National School Food Program (NSFP) is an intersectoral policy supported by Law n. 11,947/2009 requires that at least 30% of the resources destined to the municipalities coming from the FNDE for acquisitions of family agriculture. This qualitative and quantitative exploratory study analyzed the NSFP in the municipality of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim/ES and in the municipalities of the Central South Region in the period from 2011 to 2015, in order to investigate whether the municipalities met the requirement of the minimum percentage established by law. The Cachoeiro de Itapemirim in the NSFP presented average percentage of purchases of family agriculture of 60%. These acquisitions make it possible to offer more food in natura to the students, making possible the access to varied foods and the insertion of diverse foods in their food, that often does not have access at home.
