RESUMO
A proposta de uma educação
emancipadora exige do docente um fazer pedagógico voltado para a formação de
cidadãos capazes de transformar a sociedade em que vive. Nesta perspectiva,
trabalhos voltados para apropriação e valorização das culturas regionais se tornam
necessários para a construção de uma aprendizagem significativa, capaz de
oportunizar ao estudante o conhecimento sobre a cultura de sua região, a riqueza da
culinária e como os alimentos estão impregnados da identidade cultural e
memória da região. Nesse sentido, o presente artigo tem
o objetivo de através do desenvolvimento de trabalhos realizados em duas turmas
do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental II possibilitar uma compreensão da região
Nordeste, de maneira significativa, por meio dos alimentos típicos do Planalto
da Conquista, que se estabeleceu como recorte espacial da região estudada.

ABSTRACT
The proposal of an emancipatory education requires the teacher to make a pedagogical effort aimed at training citizens capable of transforming the society in which they live. In this perspective, work aimed at appropriation and appreciation of regional cultures becomes necessary for the construction of a meaningful learning, capable of giving the student the knowledge about the culture of his region, the richness of the cuisine and how the food is impregnated with the cultural identity and memory of the region. Thus, the purpose of this article is to enable an understanding of the Northeast region, through activities carried out in two classes of the 7th year of Elementary School, in a significant way, through the food typical of the Planalto da Conquista, which was established as a spatial clipping of the studied region.
