THE CULTURE OF THE FIRE BOAT IN ESTÂNCIA-SE AND THE CONSUMPTION OF TRADITIONAL OF JUNE FOODS

RESUMO

A tradição das apresentações do barco de fogo é o principal atrativo da festa junina de Estância-Se. Essa atividade é convidativa, já que visitantes e turistas assistem todas as noites apresentações dos fogueteiros e aproveitam a oportunidade para saborear as comidas desse período na cidade. O objetivo desse artigo é compreender a relação da tradição do barco de fogo, embutida na festa junina estanciana, com o consumo de alimentos e bebidas desse período. Os procedimentos metodológicos partiram de uma revisão bibliográfica em livros, artigos, dissertações e teses. Posteriormente foram realizadas entrevistas com fogueteiros, comerciantes, turistas e a população local. Constatou-se que a tradição de produzir fogos nessa cidade configurasse em uma paisagem cultural, na qual interagem os fogueteiros, a população e os comerciantes de alimentos e bebidas durante toda festividade.

ABSTRACT

The tradition of the fire boat presentations is the main attraction of the Estância-Se June party. This activity is inviting, as visitors and tourists attend every night presentations of the rockets and take the opportunity to taste the food of this period in the city. The purpose of this article is to understand the relation of the tradition of the fireboat, embedded in the party of the June, with the consumption of food and drinks of this period. The methodological procedures started from a bibliographical revision in books, articles, dissertations and theses. Afterwards interviews with rockets, traders, tourists and the local population were carried out. It was found that the tradition of producing fireworks in this city was set in a cultural landscape, in which the rockets, the population and the food and drink merchants interact throughout the festivity.
